Why I work alone, with two cameras

Twelve years ago I started photographing weddings in the region I call home — the lakes and mountains south of Munich. Over the years, couples kept asking for film too. Instead of bringing in a second person, I learned to do both, properly: two cameras for photography, dedicated setups for film, one pair of eyes deciding what matters in each moment. Your images and your film tell the same story because the same person felt it.

How I photograph

Quietly. I don’t stage your day; I follow it. The real moments — your father’s face, the deep breath before the vows, the laughter you didn’t know was photographed — those are the pictures that survive the decades. I give direction only where it helps: light, timing, and the fifteen minutes of portraits that will hang on your wall.

For couples traveling to Bavaria

Half of my heart in this work belongs to couples who cross oceans to marry here. Everything runs in English. I know the permits, the light, the quiet spots — and where I stop, my network continues, including an English-speaking wedding planner with two decades in these mountains. You’re not booking a stranger in a foreign country. You’re booking someone local — with a name that promises exactly one thing.
